A Negative Mindset.
This is a line of thoughts that focuses on ones failures or inability to attain/achieve or get hold of one’s desires. A negative mindset thinks of how such a person can’t attain something and most often has several reasons why he can’t attain it. A negative mindset will focus all his/her energy on possibility of failing and magnifies the chances of failing. This often leads to a persons’ inability to make a decision. The person usually fails to take any action.
Sometimes we are unconsciously unaware of our negativity. You may have a good idea and then you start thinking of how you can’t implement it because of the challenges involved.
This can as well be linked inferiority complex.
Basically this is mostly based on the fear off both unknown and known challenges.
Impact of a negative mindset on your life/others’ life’s.
Failure to achieve ones goals:
For I know the plans that I have towards you. To prosper you and not to harm you. To give you a hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11.
The fact that we have failed in the past doesn’t mean we are failures. When we see ourselves as failures then we become failures. A negative mindset hinders us from achieving the plans that God has for us.
Effect of a negative way of thinking.
Unproductive. A negative mindset is unproductive. A negative minded person tends to have fear for the unknown over a new idea. Decision making is difficult and mostly prefers a comfort zone which is not good for productivity. It acts as a detriment for productivity.
Emotional impact. A negative minded person has a high emotional imbalance. Most of the time sadness prevails the life of this person. Sadness makes a person to fail to look at things from a positive perspective.
Health. Most times negativity leads to depression and thus hypertension, blood pressure, and diabetics.
Relationships. A negative mindsets, leads to a breakdown in relation. It brings about depression on the other person. Leads’ to a lack of trust on a person, and definitely, the self worth of the other person reduces, with long exposure to a negative minded person.
How to change to a positive minded person.
Affirmations. Philippians 4:13. I can do all things through Christ who enables. Keep confessing on positive things about your selves.
Humor. Maintain a sence of humour. Proverbs 17:22, A merry heart doeth good like medicine, but a broken spirit dries the bones. Laugh over your challenges.
Commitment. Philippians 4:8. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things lovely, whatsoever things are of good report, if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise think on this things. Purpose in you to think on all this and not any bad thoughts.
Gratitude. Be grateful for all that you have. Show gratitude over all that you have attained.
above all, taking the shield of faith with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. Ephesians 6:16.
Brethren, let us put all our trust on God. Lets spend more time with Him and allow ourself to be directed by God. Let us fill our hearts with His ord that our Faith may grow.
