There is always a point of turning around for every believer. Where you realize and acknowledge that God has forgiven you is one of the most awesome and amazing moment. Jesus Christ came to set us free from all bondage of sin. The slate has been wiped clean and your sins are no more.

In all this, there has to be that moment of repentance

What is repentance,

It is sincere regret or remorse of one’s sins and returning/turning to God.

According to Charles Spurgeon:

Repentance is a discovery of the evil of sin, a mourning that we have committed it, a resolution to forsake it. It is, in fact, a change of mind of a very deep and practical character, which makes the man love what once he hated, and hate what once he loved.
